Barbara was born in 1941, in Hoole Chester. It was a tight knit neighbourhood, Doris lived next door but one, and the Lloyds who lived next door would play a life long role, in all of their lives. Anyone who met Barbara would say the same thing, simply that she shone! She was a bright ray of light, who was selfless, witty, funny and such a wonderful soul. Barbara had lots of friends throughout her life, but one school friendship endeared all of her life, and that was with her best mate Barb Baker. When Barbara met Graham, it was a classic love at first sight. They had 3 daughters and were very happily married for 54 years. Barbara loved to travel, and with Graham visited many places in Europe, went to Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong, USA, Africa and best of all the loved to go away a few times of year to the Canary Islands. Simply summed up – a Golden light who shone on those she loved and adored. The glue in the family, for whom she was/still is, the centre of our universe.
