The Fallen...of WW2

1 September 1939 - 2 September 1945

The memorial was placed near the site of a most tragic accident during WW2 when all on board the Wellington bomber T2802 crashed, May 24th 1942. It was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and researched, and designed, by volunteers, students, trustees and the local community over an 18 month period.
